At the core of Clover Care is a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves to live with dignity, purpose, and choice. That belief started with one person — Tony, the founder and owner of Clover Care.
Tony didn’t start Clover Care to build a business. He started it to build a better way to care. With decades of experience in the disability and community services sector, Tony saw firsthand how systems could sometimes forget the most important part of support — the person. So, he set out to change that.
“I wanted to create a service where people felt seen, heard, and genuinely supported — not just managed,” Tony says. “Clover Care was born from that vision.”
A People-First Philosophy
Tony’s leadership is grounded in empathy, integrity, and a deep respect for every individual’s journey. Under his guidance, Clover Care has grown into a team that doesn’t just deliver services — they build relationships. Whether it’s personal care, supported employment, or community participation, Tony ensures that every service is shaped by what participants want, not just what’s available.
“We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Every person is unique, and our support should reflect that.”
More Than Support — A Sense of Belonging
Tony’s passion extends beyond care — it’s about connection. He’s a strong advocate for inclusion, employment, and independence. Through initiatives like Clover Pathways, Tony has championed supported employment programs that empower participants to build skills, confidence, and careers.
“Employment is about more than a pay check. It’s about purpose, pride, and being part of something bigger.”
Leading by Example
Tony is often the first to roll up his sleeves — whether it’s helping at a community BBQ, mentoring new staff, or sitting down with participants to hear their stories. His hands-on approach and genuine care set the tone for the entire Clover team.
“I’m proud of the culture we’ve built. It’s not just about what we do — it’s how we do it. With heart.”
Q&A with Tony – Founder of Clover Care
- What inspired you to start Clover Care?
I’ve worked in this sector for a long time, and I’ve seen the difference that truly person-centred support can make. But I’ve also seen how systems can sometimes forget the human side of care. I started Clover Care because I wanted to build something different — something that puts people first, always. It was never about ticking boxes; it was about creating real, lasting impact in people’s lives. - What does “Your Choice. Your Control.” mean to you personally?
To me, it’s everything. It’s not just a slogan — it’s a promise. Every person we support should feel empowered to make their own decisions, shape their own journey, and live life on their terms. Our job is to walk alongside them, not ahead of them. - What’s one moment with a participant that’s stayed with you?
There are so many, but one that stands out is a young man who joined our supported employment program through Clover Pathways. He’d been told for years that work wasn’t an option for him. But with the right support, he not only got a job — he found confidence, independence, and a sense of pride. Watching him grow into that space was incredibly powerful. That’s why we do what we do. - How do you keep Clover’s values alive as the organisation grows?
Culture is everything. I make it a point to stay connected — with staff, with participants, with families. I want everyone at Clover to feel like they’re part of something meaningful. We hire people who care deeply, and we lead with empathy and integrity. Growth is great, but only if we grow in the right way. - What makes you most proud of the Clover team?
Their heart. Every single person here shows up with compassion, commitment, and a genuine desire to make a difference. It’s not just a job for them — it’s a calling. That’s rare, and I don’t take it for granted. - If you could describe Clover Care in three words, what would they be?
Respectful. Responsive. Real. - What’s your hope for the future of disability support in Australia?
I hope we continue to move toward a system that truly listens — one that values lived experience, embraces innovation, and removes barriers instead of creating them. Everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we all have a role to play in making that happen. - What advice would you give to someone just starting their journey with the NDIS?
Take your time, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to speak up about what matters to you. The system can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Find providers who listen, who respect your choices, and who walk the journey with you — not for you.
